Had a similar experience described by others...I'm not a comic book fan, I just went for records. I had used the elevator to get to the top floor. As soon as I got off the elevator I was greeted by an employee who immediately berated me for using it. There was NO sign or anything at all indicating not to use the elevator so I don't really understand what he was getting at. It wasn't just a "Please don't use the elevator," this guy was trying to make me feel stupid. He said "What makes you think you can use that elevator? Why would you do that?" If you don't want me on it, put a sign up...or have someone at the BOTTOM FLOOR telling me not to. So that's my first interaction with anyone in the store. This same employee followed me around while I shopped and was acting like I was about to rob the place. It made me nervous and I didn't take my time going through records like I usually do...that dude made me feel like I shouldn't have been in there and gave me horrible vibes. I had a few records in my hand and I put a few back before making my final purchases. When I got to the counter, the same guy who was following me around and chewed me out for using the elevator chewed me out for putting records back. (I put them back EXACTLY where I found them.) He said I shouldn't remove things from the shelf unless I plan on buying them. Which I could understand if they were super rare, but they were just plain old records. This a normal thing to do when shopping for records or for anything else. And I still bought a lot of stuff anyway so what's the big deal??? I went to pay with my card and he let out a groan and rolled his eyes, as if me using a card was physically hurting him. When I hesitated for one second to enter my PIN, he snapped "TODAY, PLEASE!" There was nobody behind me in line...I was the only person on that floor. I wasn't holding anyone up. That dude was so incredibly rude to me that I'll never go back there. From the second I stepped in the store he acted like he hated me for no reason at all and made me feel like he didn't want me there. I ended up spending over $50 anyway at his business so I don't understand what he was so angry about. I just don't get it. They get 2 stars just because they have a large and unique selection...but that guy made me so nervous that I didn't even want to explore it or look around. Screw that guy. I have worked in customer service jobs and I understand that sometimes you just have a bad day, so I am always patient with employees. I don't expect everyone to always have a smile on their face, but this guy really went above and beyond in his efforts to make me not want to return. And it looks like other reviewers had wildly similar experiences, so it wasn't just a bad day.

Great deals. Wide variety of comics, figures, and collectables. I went in during their anniversary sales and ended up with well over 60% off original price

3 floors of pure collectible awesomeness. It brought back all of my memories of visiting as a kid. Glad I could share with my kids.

I walked in on random while I was in Pittsburgh for a conference. It could not have been more awesome. Floors of records, books and comics. A staff that was friendly and knowledgeable, and a great selection of used sci fi books (my favorite!). I got so much stuff that they had to ship it home for me, and they were incredibly helpful through the whole process. The books were packed with great care, and they even wrote a thank you note! I wish I lived in the area, I would shop there all the time. There are not enough stars for my positive experience. MANY THANKS!
