  Sadly this school has failed us and many others. Started so promising but directive is more towards activism and giving kids a voice than respect discipline and solid academics. Very disappointing.There's little in the way of pushing the students to strive for excellence they just strive to pass. More focus is put on activism which is 'cool' but doesn't get anyone a job let along get any student into a great college when their test scores aren't solid. Very sad that we failed our child by choosing this school.

  I attended this school from 7th to 8th grade. I can honestly say my experience there helped shape me into a much more open-minded and confident person. Class sizes are small and you can tell the staff cares.

  This is by far the best school I have ever attended. The teachers and principal are called by their first names, this helps you to feel comfortable in the learning environment and makes you feel like you can approach them more. This school is a safe zone for the LGBT community and is a very big supporter of equal rights. This school is overall amazing and prepared me tremendously for college.

  Social justice curriculum + empowering atmosphere + incredible teachers = one of the best public schools in NYC

  Great school. Great principal and teachers. All are very involved with students. All are very respectful of students. Small classes. And yes, kids are given a voice which is fantastic!
