  Long lines, slow and understaffed, minimum level of upkeep. Walked out multiple times on purchases while the counter staffed dragged their feed providing service. Management is less than useless. Pathetic.

  This has to be the WORSE Duane Reade store AND PHARMACY in all of Spanish Harlem MANHATTAN NEW YORK CITY. Lazy, rude dragging their feet employees who become agitated and almost angry if you ask them where something is inside the store. The front check out area always has ONE employee even if there is a line of 30 customers, and even that one employee takes his or her sweet time. These employees OBVIOUSLY hate their job. The pharmacy USED to be good when ANITA HILLARY one of the PHARMACISTS used to work there, and then for no reason suddenly was FIRED on January 2018. Why was Anita fired? Because she was great as she is and very nice with us the paying customers?? Duane Reade and Walgreens just lost my business FOREVER just for this. I took my business this week (trust me I get thousands of dollars worth of medication) out of Duane Reade store at 1915 Third Avenue, N.Y., N.Y, 10029, and into CVS Pharmacy. The PHARMACIST "JOY" who used to be kind when she first became the manager of the Pharmacy, did an entire 360° recently, and now doesn't talk to the customers and stays in her little corner in the back area. Very cold now. Do this Spanish Harlem community a favor Walgreen's, and CLOSE THIS LOCATION.

  Terrible store and experience. All the employees look like they don't want to be there. 1 tall black male, one spanish girl with glasses and one black heavy set woman all working before closing on 1/31/18. I asked for my U.p.s package took 15 mins to get it from the back, another 5-7 mins to help me sign it out while they were chit chatting with friends and associates. I have 13 years of customer service experience and the customer is first, not a conversation between co-workers. I had a long day at work and was so annoyed. This store is dirty and unprofessional, always understaffed.

  This pharmacy spent 3 days denying any prescription was called in by my physician. My physician in turn sent me screen shots of the numerous calls she made in an effort to get me my medication. Every time I expressed my dismay the pharmacy simply dismissed my claims without a care. Terminally I had to implore them to call my physician which seemed to be an incredible aggravation for their staff? This was after 5 separate calls from me and 3 separate calls from my physician over 3 days. To add insult to injury this isn't even my pharmacy, my information was transferred here from the location on 86th street which closed. I never thought I'd miss a former pharmacy but these people are utterly incompetent and rather rude. I'll be using another pharmacy from now on.

  The manager at this Duane Reade is rude and not very helpful. The store is drab and half empty. It looks like it’s on the verge of closing. Maybe if we get more Caucasian people in the neighborhood, they will shut down and renovate the entire store. However, there is one male employee who is helpful and courteous but I don’t know his name and the pharmacy staff is awesome!! 5 stars for them!
