  Downtown Music was a neat little shop tucked into the French quarter. While it's supply of guitars was fairly typical, there was a trumpet on its shelf calling my name. See, I've been a guitarist for years now, but I've always wanted to play trumpet. Recently my grandmother (a big jazz fan) passed and left me some money. While the Conn Director I purchased is a bit old and dinged up, it was the right price because the Downtown Music associate made me a great deal. She helped me along with understand how the instrument should be played and let me sit with it for a while, no pressure. They made the experience feel right, so I went for it. Thanks DM music!

  Woman who worked there was very nice and allowed me to try out the guitar before I bought it. She recommended products that I love and was very nice. I am very happy with my Les Paul Special II. I would definitely recommend it to a friend and already have.

  Really friendly staff. Music lessons are offered as well as instruments.

  Love the new Dumaine location. Employees are helpful and informed. Nice selection and good deals.
