This area is getting revamped! Macy's is one of the few retail stores that is still around in downtown! And they run some great sales! Downtown arena is here along with an assortment of bars, shops and restaurants. Depending where you enter, you might be able to avoid the homeless campouts. A couple of great restaurants on Capital Mall, just across from Macy's.

Nice tourist attraction to take out of city family and friends. The Golden 1 Arena is here and during winter they got an ice rink. Hagen Dazs is nearby too.

Homeless people and trash everywhere. Some good stores and a great arena mixed in among vacant space. Great potential but a lot of work to be done.

The commons are coming right along. The space is beautiful and well appointed. Centrally located near light rail and Amtrak. There are some great food options including Sauced and Punch Bowl Social. The arena is fantastic. It's a great spot for date night or business meetings, with the Sawyer Hotel and Citizen offering some wonderful upscale lodging.

I ate here for the first time ever today, thanks to the recommendation of a coworker. Although the restaurant seemed packed to max, we were seated immediately and our server checked in on us and took our drink orders within just a few minutes after sitting down. The customer service was superb! Very attentative and very very fast! Their menu was a bit pricey, but my coworker insisted that their food was good. I wasn't starving so I took my chances on their "solo" sized Buffalo Mac n' Cheese. I was then warned that my portion would probably be really small, but I didn't imagine it would be as small as it was. It was literally, at best, about one measuring cup... FOR $8! I will give it to them, it was one of the better mac n' cheeses I've sampled, no doubt. Not "amazing" but pretty tasty. If it wasn't as good as it was and if I was paying the lunch tab today, I would've been upset! All in all, an awesome experience and first impression. I'd definitely come back!
