  This place is really great, WHEN THEY ARE THERE! Time's are not consistent. But when you find them there! Great Service, true professionals. worth the $$$

  I was disappointed to have schlepped across town from my hotel, on the basis of excellent reviews, only to find the lights on but nobody home. The place is buried in the basement of the very nice Gunter Hotel. On my arrival the lights were on, the TV going, but the doors locked and nobody there. It's 10 am on a Monday. I called twice, phone rang and rang (I could hear it through the door). Must have gone to the bathroom, I thought. Took a seat in the lobby, read the interesting history of the place, and after about 20 minutes the barber showed up with takeaway food clamshell in hand. Okay, I thought, let's go. Nope, "I can't help you now, come back this afternoon. I got a guy in a wheelchair coming". Nobody in sight. No offer to see me when done with other invisible client. "C'mon, I came all the way from Alaska to get a haircut with you". No deal. Kinda lame I'd say. Enjoy your take-out.

  Barely needed to say what kind of cut I wanted, Lee trimmed me up, and cleaned my beard up without extra charge. Great conversation and very friendly environment. Make sure you walk into the hotel and if you miss the sign like I did, the person at the front desk will point you in the right direction.
