The “hostess” was extremely uptight and downright rude. She needs to learn some common courtesy. It’s not the Four Seasons, it’s a bar. Loosen up! We actually left right away. She made the experience dull from the get-go. Too bad. P.S.-Esquire Tavern (upstairs) is excellent service, highly recommend.

Went here on 2 evenings during a brief business trip this week. Totally amazed that a place of this quality is there amid the general drunken revelry of river walk. The cocktails are first rate, made by bartenders who know how to do it, and they work only with top quality ingredients. Absolutely excellent. Thanks, Hank.

If you looking for a great gay bar with a dungeon torcher scene... this is your place. We didn’t fit in so we left out the back door and saw some dude tripping on bath salts eating another mans face.

Walked in on a Saturday evening, I was asked if I had reservations though I did not I was able to be sat at a table. Reservations are suggested according to the host even though there was plenty of walk in space. But from my experience it was a very classy speak easy cocktail bar with good music. Table service was excellent for a cocktail bar. We tried a few bites along with a few cocktails. Will return with a small group of friends to really enjoy the service and atmosphere.

Went here after much hoopla and or is dark place with eclectic decor. Service was prompt and attentive. Drinks are well made like upstairs though not boozy enough in my opinion. The bizarre thing is the crudites ...with nary a vegetable in sight. This was all fruit which was quite a strange thing to serve with drinks and nowhere do they tell you it's only fruit. Not worth all the chatter around it.
