::The hotel is located in the heart of Silver Spring, MD and is decently priced. The rooms are clean and comfortable. No complimentary breakfast or parking. There's a public parking across the road from the hotel that is free from Friday night to 6am Monday morning. I have stayed here multiple times and it is always good. However, management doesn't seem to care about any guests complaints. For example, the gym located on the 9th floor is always steamy hot. the thermostat does not seem to work. it is always 81 to 85 degrees in the gym, no matter what the thermostat is set to. Multiple guests I have run into say they have reported it guest services and yet nothing seems to be done about it. So keep in mind there may be a few things you will not find to be perfect.

::My least favorite Hilton property. I've stayed here multiple times. The bathrooms in the standard rooms are too small; they're better in the suites. But, the last suite I stayed in had a forever-flushing toilet and when I complained they said they'd take care of it but they didn't. Also the walls are thin. I do like the gym. It has natural light and the equipment is in good shape. They are currently painting some of the rooms. I'm hoping they can find a few more feet for the bathrooms... Oh and the ice machines only work on a few floors...

::Great hotel, great service. They allowed us to use the lobby for a game board game night, between me and a couple friends. With only a few constraints, such as watching how noisy we were, we were able to have a great night. Thanks DoubleTree Hotel, it was great.

::I stayed here off and on for a few weeks. It is clean and safe and all of the staff I came into contact with were pretty cool. Since I was staying for such a long time I was given a few drink tickets for the bar. The bar itself is nice. It doesn't feel like a hotel bar. And the selection is good. My room was quiet and clean and very comfortable. Parking was not included in the room so I parked on the street.
