  Such a great place to let a city kid feel like she's out and about in the natural world. Our daughter is a big fan of the tree stump "thrones."

  Kiwi view: a fantastic area of the park. Get away from the play areas and come here. Kids loved it. Great place to run around, jump around the bush, play house and seek etc. Not well lit when it gets dark though

  My 2.5 year old LOVES this spot! Deadfall from Sandy was used to create climbing sculptures which invite children into lightly wooded areas via short paths. There is a large sandbox and some shady seating as well. This google marker is slightly inacurate. Aim for the back of nellies field (if approaching from the bike path) and you cannot miss it.
