Went here after another El paso stylist i had scheduled with didnt show up to the salon or return my call. Anyway only 1 girl in there spoke good English. Ok thays cool i AM IN EP. im from dallas. I asked prior if they knew how to work with my hair type. They said yes. An older lady Asked me to detangle my own hair. I did. Im natural so even if I detangle it still wont have a comb go through easily. Thats just the nature of afro hair. The wash was thorough. But i feel she created more tangles for herself with the vigorous movement. After that she put on conditioner and a steam treatment. That was nice. So then it was time to comb through it. Your supposed to comb natural hair from the ends to the top. She started at the top. Didnt speak English and i kinda felt helpless at that point. She was rough and was so impatient with my hair. Pulling hard and BREAKING it. My longish hair is SO thin now im pretty sure most of it ended up in the brushes and combs. No exaggeration. My "ponytail" is extremely thin. So thin i cant style it. I have a "whisper" of hair left. Im kind of in disbelief. She was tired of my hair by the end. Grunting in frustration Making ME feel bad. And i was in pain the whole time. She passed me over to another girl but my hair was already ruined by then. Honestly im going to have to cut it off to get the fullness back. The other ladys who left before me had beautiful blowouts. Mine was very smooth And maybe would've been great had i had much hair left. I can feel my scalp thats how thin it is. Sigh. They were really nice but this place isnt made for black women with type 4 hair. I wanted to like it. And probably would have if my hair wasn't so thin now and the lady wasnt so impatient with me. I regret not stopping her. El paso is just not the place for black women to get their hair done i think....

When i first walked in i asked was she able to do my 4c African american hair because moving from Atlanta to El paso i knew it was gonna be struggle to find someone who knew how in this area and i was told yes.As she began to blow it out she asks another stylist for help, cool. She proceeds to straighten my hair butt is still struggling to get it straight and im getting skeptical and she continues and finishes . Two weeks later i wash my hair so i can return for another blow out and as im washing globs of my hair is coming out in the shower and my curls are heat damaged and destoryed.

They did an excellent job. At times I felt like the heat from the blow dryer was really really hot, but in all fairness Iā€™m not use to heat on my scalp. This will become my primary place to get my natural hair straightened and ends clipped. My hair was beautiful and soft.

My sister and I got our hair cut today and it was amazing! Of course there was a wait but I was a walk in so I didn't mind at all. I have very curly hair so it's hard to find a good stylist where I live in Dallas but I come to El Paso to see my family so from now on I'll wait to get it cut here. The prices are also the best I have ever seen for the quality of the service!!!!! šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ They do an amazing job at washing your hair, great tips for how to keep it healthy and man do they know how to blow dry hair.
