The only reason I give 2 stars instead of 1 is because of their employe Syed Naqvi. This man was beyond helpful when i was looking for lens. Made me throw on a variety of lens so i can get an idea of what exists, and what each frame would look likw with each lens. Was very knowledgeable and helpful. I give this place just 2 stars because the prices are outrageous. They tried selling me USED lens for TWICE the amount its listed on Amazon (Fulfilled by amazon sellers). I asked if they could do any better on the price since clearly it was the same lens for less then half, the one in charge only let him give me a $30 discount. I felt ripped off and not wanting to come back. Syed was very nice and helpful and did what he could, but the ones running the place are crazy with prices.

I did a lot of research on camera shops in the district and this is the best and most reliable I found for sure. The staff are really helpful and knowledgeable, which, when you’re buying a camera is really important because there’s obviously a lot of functions you may need or not need. The fact that they have multiple locations is really great and a full catalogue of their available products online with accurate pricing, descriptions, and conditions is a real plus. I think with respect to service, it’s just the nature of smaller, family owned places. This is not a Best Buy or Target where you walk in and play with any camera that you want and no one cares. I would recommend going in with a serious attitude towards research or purchasing and I am sure that they will be happy to help.

Friendly crew, but watch out - they are not upfront about store return policies. Do not recommend purchasing here unless you are 1000% sure that you are keeping everything you purchase. I bought a lens cap, clear lens cover, and battery/charger here for a camera (that I bought elsewhere). I ended up returning the camera (for unrelated reasons) and went to return the lens cap, clear lens cover, and battery/charger for this camera and they charged me a 15% restocking fee and wouldn't return the battery/charger. When I purchased these items, they said that if they weren't right for my camera that I could return them. However, they completely failed to mention the 15% restocking fee and the fact that you can't return batteries and chargers. This is completely unprofessional and left me paying for a charger/battery that I can't use.

One of the best camera shops I have been to. The staff is knowledgeable about the products they sell.  Their job is not to sell you something but to find a solution.   Not only were they helpful in finding me a new monopod but were knowledgeable of the rules and regulations related to photography in DC.  They are a must stop location for any photographer amateur or professional visiting DC.

The selection is large despite it being small in size. The staff is condescending and pushy. Their new gear isn't priced the fairest. The used gear you can find cheaper elsewhere. They buy gear but lowball you like crazy on the price and encourage you to spend the money on their store. I'm unsure how a place like this stays in business with so many better options for purchasing cameras and getting them serviced.
