The Disneyland Railroad is the true People Mover, not those boxy contraptions that used to be in Tomorrowland until they were replaced by Rocket Rods (My stripper name, BTW) which closed down shortly thereafter. The Disney choo-choo has stations in all 4 corners of the park - Mainstreet USA, New Orleans Square, Toontown & Tomorrowland. Now, I'm the type that enjoys walking. I don't mind if it's several blocks, uphill, through a nest of pit vipers-I'm a walker (Not a zombie walker, but a walker). As long as I have my trusty fisherman's(aka boonie) hat to provide cover from the sun, I'm good! However, whenever I need to take a rest for my out of shape body, I hop on the choo-choo for a breather. I'm resting, but It feels like I'm still doing something because the scenery changes. Cheesy dinosaurs greet you during the ride. The "Land of the Lost" dinosaurs from the TV show look more scary than these puppies, but that's just part & parcel of the Disney Railroad's nostalgic charm. The memories.... Excelsior

Of the 4 DRR stations his one has the most ambiance and magic. It feels like you are in New Orleans. From the telegraph ticking the opening day speech of Walt to the buildings it just feels good here. As the park ages and gets more and more crowded this station captures in my opinion what imagineering is. They captured the mood, style and spirit of New Orleans. Pro tip: Make this station your start on the round train ride around Disneyland. It’s a completely different perspective than starting on Main Street. Have fun!
