  Was really disappointed with this repair place. I had gotten shoes done here before and was very happy with the results. This time I dropped of 3 shoes- 2 that needed to be the soles replaced and restitched and one that needed to be restitched. We went to inquire multiple times about the status of my shoes, however it took them months to be returned. To top that bad experience off, the shoes weren’t repaired correctly. The shoes that needed the soles replaced weren’t done and none of the shoes were restitched. All they did was put glue on them annd since the glue is visable they are ruined. The glue was so strong I couldn’t keep them in my house.

  I had to put one star since one cannot submit a review without any stars. But as a businessman, Moe Draper does not deserve any stars. I cannot speak of the skill of Moe Draper because he has not returned my boots, so I do not know if he is as good as some reviews say that he is. In my case, Moe Draper has simply not returned them when he promised to have them ready, knowing full well that I was leaving town the next day. I trusted him and his wife with my boots but I know now that he should not have trusted him because I discovered in Yelp that he has done the same thing to other customers. An interesting detail is that Moe Draper does not answer a phone. Instead, he has a mobile number that his wife employs only for texting. Customers can submit pictures and Moe's wife will they reply if Moe can do it and for how much. I was not told how much and I should have asked because I did not imagine that it would be as much as he changed. However, since I had asked for a short turn around given the fact that I was leaving town and Moe promised to do it, I thought that I had no choice. On the agreed-upon day, Moe's wife texted me to tell me that Moe could not be at his downtown shop as indicated because he was unable to complete the work and had to go out of town to fetch materials for my boots. She asked if I would meet him at 6:30 pm at his Eastern market shop. I agreed but Moe did not show up. When I texted for an explanation, his wife told me that Moe had car trouble but he would find an Uber and deliver the boots. Hours passed and no answer from his wife about the whereabouts of my boots, no reply indicating how he would return them. Nothing. I am afraid that Moe Draper liked my boots and decided to keep them so he can resell them. He knew that I was leaving town, so he took advantage of the situation. I have asked Moe Draper to pay me via Zelle for the price of my boots, which I had purchased brand new the week before for my birthday, plus the reimbursement of the $70 that he charged for the soles. IF MOE DRAPER DOES NOT PAY ME, THEN MOE DRAPER IS A THIEF.

  I love these guys in the Eastern Market. I can drop my repairs off at start of my market day and pick them up at the end. Such great service.

  First encountered this business at their stall in Eastern Market and cannot recommend their work enough. They have a deep understanding of their craft and are friendly and personable. They explain what they are doing and offer competitive prices. They resoled my shoes and brought them back from the dead. Cannot recommend highly enough. Will be bringing my business here in the future.
