  Let me start out by saying that the actual movers were very professional, on-time, quick and did a solid job of moving my house. The issues arrived after I was moved and it was obvious my Sleep Number bed pump was damaged during the move and one chamber of my VERY expensive bed would not hold air. I started the claims process with Desert Sun and at first they seemed very responsive and guaranteeing they would take care of the problem. They sent out a rep, he took a look at the problem and told me not to worry they would take care of it. I did not hear from him again after trying to contact him for weeks. I had to go above his head, and when he responded he basically told me that "since the item wasn't boxed" it wasnt their liability. What does that mean? My TV isnt in a box? If they broke my TV it would be their responsibility. I sent a scathing email and was eventually transferred over to the "claims" department. Mind you this was 2.5 months after my move. The claims guy came to my house, and we played around with things for a half an hour and he left telling me they would figure it out and maybe get my pump fixed. Well they got back to me telling me that since I didnt purchase any value protection coverage (WHICH I WAS NOT EVER OFFERED, NOR WAS MY BROTHER WHEN HE MOVED, NOR WAS MY LANDLORD WHEN SHE MOVED) then my pump will be damaged out at $.60 per pound, so they are giving me $6 for a $380 pump that doesn't work anymore. I am most definitely taking them to small claims court after this nonsense. I used a moving company because I don't want my friends breaking my things, instead I PAID a local company to break my stuff.
