  One of the few family friendly parks, so a definite plus. We had a nice view from our spot, pool is clean, the owner seemed to deal professionally when spoken with via phone or notices on our door, however there were various issues (some minor some major) within the park that could have been dealt with easily if there was an on-site manager, but the office was always under “renovation” and never open during the 6 month period we stayed here. We have travelled and stayed in 11 other rv parks throughout the country besides this one, and there is always an on site manager to assist with the day to day issues, questions, and disputes. Parking was also pretty tight.

  I seen they had the locker room/shower/restroom building... I didn't get to go inside..but I will check it all out tomorrow when I go start moving things to my new trailer there. I seen they had even those Tiny homes houses..like on TV...a cuple really nice ones. So cute!!! I want one now!! 👍👍👍

  Things I like about this place. 1. Swimming pool 2. Close to public transportation 3. Level sites 4. Staff were very friendly. Things I didn't like 1. Redneck neighbors fighting at least twice per week 2. Right by local airport so planes flying low right over your trailer is annoying 3. Kids that live in the park screaming and hollering and in my yard 4. Homeless walking around outside the park. All in all I would stay there again if I'm ever back in the Phoenix area but this isn't a resort so if that's what your looking for move along.

  This place is a little slice of RV heaven. While most other places around the area aren't as welcoming and friendly, Desert Sands is quiet, friendly, and affordable. They welcome older rigs, while still staying clean and the neighborhood doesn't "go downhill" because they let us older rig owners in! Also, they're one of 8 places in the Phoenix area that allows children! Not many kids in the park, but at least they're allowed! There are a few neighbors that do complain, but they've got plenty of RV parks to choose from (over 150 in the Phoenix area), while us parents have a heck of a time finding any place decent to take our kids and feel they're safe playing in the grass infront of our rig. Desert Sands is well worth the extra drive outside of town.
