  Very friendly and knowledgeable staff make up for this modest looking pet store with great variety of pet feeds and pet-related products. Many pet animals to choose from.

  This pet store has a vast amount of pet supplies for all kinds of pets and has a diverse array of fish, small mamals, birds, and reptiles. Also, Desert Pet keeps it's pets in significantly more humane conditions (especially the mice, rats, girbils, and hamsters) than the rival pet store that shall not be named on Prince. Please buy your pets from humane locations.

  For the longest time I had thought the service was great, and that they took fairly good care of their animals. I got my first rats here, and have been going back for food and other things ever since. However, during many of my more recent visits, I get a sour vibe from the staff. It's as if they hate their job. I've taken to almost completely avoiding asking for help or info because I often get treated with disdain. In addition to declining atmosphere/service, the baby rats we bought over the weekend were sick. Within 48 hrs one died abruptly and the other is sneezing/wheezing. Don't go here for rats.

  This is a great local pet store. Good quality selection for a wide variety of pets. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and know how to treat customers. You will not find this kind of service at a big box store.

  Very nice selection of many animals. Most cages and tanks kept clean. However, all of the pet rats I have purchased from here were ill. The rat cages are filthy dirty, hardly any food and what little food they had was covered in feces and urine. A lot of rats suffering from respiratory infections due to poor ventilation and horrible cage conditions. Two of the rats I had purchased were deathly sick which was transmitted to me as Rat Bite Fever. One good thing about their rats are they live a fairly long time. My two older girls are running on 4 years which is pretty impressive despite the severe infections.
