The only mosque in walking distance from my office. It's mainly a center for Sufi activities but offers Friday prayers (only jummah throughout the week - no spot for ablution) and mostly 2 jamaats. The sermons, in line with Sufi thought focus on positives of life and encourages compassion and understanding. I have only come here for friday prayers but they seem to have zikr and dervaish related activities as well.

My husband and I went here on Friday for prayer. I was told to cover my head and go to a separate area. So no this is not a Sufi mosque. Not sure what it is.

In response to other reviews, two things: First, this is not a typical masjid—it is a Sufi tekkye, which you can learn more about if you follow the link to their website. Secondly, it is not open for daily prayers with the exception of Jummah, which can also be seen by looking at the website. It tells you the nature of this community and when it is open for gathering and prayer. Peace.

This is a very warm and welcoming community of men and women from all over the world. I have been a friend of the community for over 30 years. I once brought a friend, a man in his 70's who was born in Ireland and had left the church because of an abusive experience in his youth. When we visited here, my friend was so moved by the warm and sweet welcome of this community that he was inspired to seek out the religion of his youth again .. and for the last 10 years of his life -- he was again an active Catholic.
