  My family and sons have had the pleasure of calling DKS a second home for over 9 years. Sensei Delgado and Mrs. Maria have cared for my boys as their own. They have reinforced the values of respect, discipline, perseverance and commitment in their everyday dealings, for which I am forever grateful.

  I’ve been in this Delgado Karate school for 20 years and I’ve seen parents of the disrespected Sensei Hector Delgado and Maria Delgado and I don’t like that at all. Parents should not tell Sensei how to teach the karate and judo class because, Sensei had been doing this for 22 years and he doesn’t need anyone tell him how to teach the class and he also doesn’t anyone else to tell how to run the karate school. Sensei treated these kids like his own children and he did such a wonderful job and I’m proud of him. These is the best Karate school in the world and Sensei is like a father to me and I love him. I’m a third degree black belt and I’m also a Sensei so parents out if you have any concerns just talk to the Manager name Maria Delgado and she’s the sister of Sensei Hector Delgado. It upsets me to see that Sensei being cursed out by parents and you people should appreciate that Sensei Hector taught your kids very well. The Delgados are Like family to me and I’ll do anything to protect them and I’ll make that they will never be disrespected again. Respect my karate instructor and the manager. Parents out there you are welcome to sign your kids up for judo and karate classes. By the way we never let anything bad happen to your kids and we always kept them safe. This karate school is always the environment for the kids and it helps keep the kids out of trouble. For years I’ve seen parents take their kids of the karate school because, they don’t like the way the Sensei teaches the class. The karate school provides after school program, summer camp program and every year Sensei Hector and Maria also provides valentine, Halloween and Christmas parties. So like I said before we need kids to sign up for the little dragons class, judo class, karate classes, after school program and summer camp programs. So parents please show a lot of appreciations for Sensei Hector and his sister Maria okay. So many kids been quitting the karate classes and we don’t want any kids to quit at all.

  My son has been going to Delegado KARATE for past 4yrs it has been a wonderful experience for my son and I, the staff at Delgado are warm , caring ,supportive and fair with all the children. Delgado teachers the kids about friendship , team work and respect for themselves and others. I've read a review were someone had a negative out look on things due to not having things they way it's likely they not learn themselves about team work and respect for others . Parents are the first to teach there children social skills and with out that it no team effect or friendship. At Delgado karate there no bullying , do children disagree yes that the process of growing up and learning to get along with others however Delgado staff deals with behavior that don't conform with team work . I would encourage or recommend Delgado karate school to anyone that looking to encourage good behavior, social skills and leaning to have health friendship. I give Delgado karate 10 any day, and to that negative review learn to establish understanding a program first , you can't understand how someone run a program in a few months so keep your personal and negative remarks to yourself.   As a student at Delgado karate Im happy here. Their staff are all well set on there curriculum. its amazing how well educated they are on karate, judo and combat ju jitsu. I would recumend all parents to bring there kids to Delgado karate.

  I'm honestly shocked this karate school gets the reviews it does. Both Hector (the sensei) and Maria (his sister/administrator) are rude once you get started with the afterschool program. They can never settle on a schedule. There are too many children in the class for the sensei to properly monitor, and people go up in belts while still making amateur mistakes in their katas. They do not provide homework help or snacks as they say they do, or the snacks are just sugary garbage. The adults bully the children. My son was constantly being mocked by the staff (called a little girl, being told they were shocked he even liked girls when he mentioned a crush, laughed at when he was bullied by other kids), and the staff does nothing about when kids are bullied by others. One day, my son came home bleeding and the sensei claimed that the boys were just horsing around. I don't know about you, but if someone claims to teach karate, they better know the difference between playing and an actual attack. Our year there was just a mess and a constant battle with the adults, who acted like bratty teenagers. Only the assistant teachers were good with kids and had patience. For your child's own good, stay away from this place.
