A well stocked locally owned bookstore, with wine, beer, and coffee. Do you really need to read reviews? How could that not be magic? Okay fine, yes it's magic. The chairs are comfy. Drinks are well priced. And then there's books. New books, strange books, unique books, great books.

We used to love stopping in here to have a drink and see what was new. Over the last few months the selection has not changed at all and it just seems to be getting small and smaller. Also, I agree with the previous review, the new tattoo covered gentleman who I think is the manager has taken all the charm out of this store. I hate to say it but I feel like this is another casualty of the neighborhood changing.

So I have to buy my mom books occasionally. She's 86 and has been an avid romance book reader since she was in her teens or 20s or early twenties. This is one of my favorite places to shop for her.

The store is tiny yet has a nice offering of books, coffee and a manager who looks like a fallen angel. Pretty much what you would expect in deep ellum. The old fashioned look contracts with the hip, tattooed, pierced people who run the place.

Small, independent bookstore in Deep Ellum. I give them five stars for the concept of their publishing house: take foreign language bestsellers and translate them to English for the American market. 3 stars because they didn't have as extensive of a selection as I had hoped (it's really a small place). They do have a little cafe and a kids book section. Worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood.
