Places shown and many of the descriptions were excellent. It was a rainy day so there were few people sitting outside. There were too many leaks and too much water running inside the bus. All customer service personnel were nice, friendly and polite. Our narrator was insightful and well spoken. She often spoke too fast and early in the tour she lacked composure and maturity. After a guest asked her to speak a little more slowly, she got it together. Overall, it was just ok.

Very friendly staff and informative tour. We actually did one whole loop before deciding on a stop. It was nice to see all the sites without having to walk around. There was a tour guide on board giving facts the whole trip.

We only had one day in DC, and this company allowed us to see the entire city within our time constraints. We noted how most of the tour guides were less than adequate, until we met Steve. I highly encourage you to locate Bus 3, so you can enjoy Steve's vast knowledge of the city and its history, as well as his genuine interest in meeting those on the tour and hearing their stories. Keep up the great work, Steve!

DC Trails basically ruined my family's vacation. We bought the 48 hour pass which included the twilight tour. And let me tell you, the 48 hour day pass was a tremendous waste of time and money. Hop-on and Hop-off? Hardly. More like Wait-60-Minutes for the bus to arrive, get on a crowded bus and get yelled at by the staff for standing in the lower level instead of sitting up top in 50 degrees and rain (open top bus) with wet seats, finally get off at a location, try to use the DC Trails App which did NOT work at all, and then wait 75 minutes for the next bus. We wasted two entire days in DC waiting on this incredibly poor excuse for a tour bus. The App would show that a bus was scheduled to be at a specific stop in 6 minutes 35 seconds (for instance), and then after about 15 minutes of waiting, the app would update to say that the bus was 27 minutes away. And even then, it wouldn't arrive for 45-60 minutes. Nothing was as advertised, and we found the entire experience to be incredibly maddening. Not to mention that on each occasion while we waited anywhere from 60-90 minutes for a bus, we saw 5 or 6 buses EACH from the Old Town Trolley and Big Bus tours. Basically, it appeared that DC Trails has only 3 buses in operation at any given time for a 21-stop trip around the city. There are not nearly enough buses to go around. Each bus is overflowing with people and the ability to truly see the city is unbelievably diminished. There is only one redeeming factor that made even giving them 1 star seem justified. The twilight tour and Deion - our tour guide. He was awesome, and seeing the monuments lit up at night was spectacular. However, I truly wish we had only done the nighttime tour, and then tried to see the city on our own during the day, because DC Trails ruined two entire days for us.

DC trails hop on and hop bus tour was had pros and cons. The tour guides had varying degrees of knowledge. We rode 3 different buses during our day. The first 2 were good and on time. We used the DC trails app to find out our wait time at our stop. The 3rd one was less than timely. The app stated 14 minutes 38 seconds until the bus would arrive. It took over 40 minutes to get to our stop. The guide was nice but made inappropriate jokes in front of my grandchildren. The driver and ticket taker were less than friendly and professional. I feel that I spent quite a bit of money on the 7 tickets purchased and I felt the length of time waiting at the bus stop was excessive and the crew was less than professional. The old town trolley came by our stops more frequently. The next time I am in DC I will try another company.
