  Davids has a large variety of health items. It's very pricey but quality. I picked up some detox vitamins and hair tea. My first time, trying it for 60 days.

  My family and I have been shopping at David's for nearly 30 years, and have always had a good experience. Today, however, I was disheartened to learn about the poor treatment my elderly mother experienced when calling to inquire about a specific nutrient that she needs. Long story short she never got an answer, because each time she called, she was left on everlasting hold, and then the clerk subsequently hung up the phone. In fact, the second time she called, I'm sure they recognized the number, because they didn't even answer, they just picked up the receiver and hung up. She called a total of 3 times and experienced this. The fourth time my mother called, she asked to speak to the manager, Kim, and was told that he was gone for the day. When she asked what time he would be in, she was told that he would be in early the following day. The clerk, now concerned that her behavior would be reported, asked what my mother was looking for. At this point, my mother was so exasperated with the disrespectful service, she decided to wait and speak with store management for assistance. This is absolutely unacceptable. My family continues to shop at David's even though Whole Foods is more accessible, and has infinitely better service, simply because we wanted to patronize a small local business. We are reconsidering.

  I understand that this may be an independant organic market so the prices will be higher. However, if one has to pay more you SHOULD at least expect verbal customer service. My cashier was mute. No hello how are you or even thank you and have a nice dat...what are we traing our youth to be??

  Excellent selection of items you rarely find anywhere else such as whole wheat pie crust and whole grain flax seed blueberry muffins. Premium quality products which come with premium prices. Definitely not a budget store.

  Worth the trip from DC and the prices. This shop has more selections of local honey than any other nearby. They also offer duck eggs and Amish butter. However, it seems odd to me when shops like these, that promote good health, have more than its share of unhealthy customers roaming the floor.
