They have over 20 period rooms with a brief story of where they come from, very interesting and well organized, once you understand how the floor map works and where to go (you are basically walking around the outside perimeter of 2 or 3 floors). Not crowded at all. We visited them by ourselves and it took us about an hour.

We popped in here expecting to have a short look around. Instead, we got a fascinating and enjoyable two hour tour. A very interesting insight into American history in the past few centuries

Such a beautiful building to learn about our nations powerful women in history and their contributions. Also loved seeing my family's lineage in person.

I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding here and it's a very DC picture perfect venue. Right off the mall for classical DC shots and beautiful decor, a stunning balcony and lovely staff. I really enjoyed this venue

Visiting the DAR Museum was a pleasant surprise for many reasons. If you’re visiting Washington, DC and looking for something a little bit off the beaten path, then go visit the DAR Museum and Library. Not only will you find it less crowded than many of the other museums in the area, you’ll also come across some interesting bits of history. The DAR Museum is setup where you can look at many different rooms that accurately show how they were decorated in different time periods, showing the fads and what was popular during varying times in US history. The DAR Museum Hall also has a very ornate library where you can look up ancestors and family tree connections to the DAR. The staff was also courteous and helpful while finding our way around the museum. You don’t need a DeLorean to step back in time, just visit the DAR.
