Very nice with helpful knowledgeable bartenders. The ambience is nice and the night I went there was a promotional event for some company, and I got two free drinks! I'll definitely be coming back here for sure! And to think I wouldn't have come in if a friend didn't invite me there, I really didn't know what I was missing.

One of my favorite dive bars, great patio and awesome (pretention free) craft cocktails.

OMG, I feel like I have found the perfect bar for me! It has an awesome metal-rock-punk-honky tonk-Austin jukebox, wonderful craft cocktails (that don’t break the bank), plays fun movies on their TVs, and all the great beers one could wish for. The staff are really nice & well skilled in good drinks. Every time I come here, I make new friends. The clientele is so fun, gregarious, and friendly. I usually go there by myself and sit on the patio to chill on S. Congress. Half the time I am approached by nice polite Austinites asking me to join them, but w/ no pressure if I was looking for a private time. As a woman, this makes me feel very safe. Yes, I have tattoos, unicorn hair, and am have hardly met a stranger (just friends I haven’t made yet). Regardless, this is the watering hole I have always wanted, but was afraid would never exist. Thank you, Crow Bar!!! Thank you, Austin!! Feeling safe, as a woman, at a bar is an epic find. This Gen-X chica is in heaven!!! (FYI: I do not consider this a hipster/grunge bar. If you do, you’re trying to hard to be cool, and you’re too young to know better.)

Nice place to hang out and have drinks with friends or coworkers. I had a great time. They have a nice outdoor patio too.

Some reviewers call it grungy- maybe that’s the right word. There were a lot of smokers on the patio, which my small party dodged as best we could. A couple of things I liked about this place: two stalls in the ladies room instead of just one, and the bouncer/maitre’d (I can call him whatever I want!) had very kind, welcoming words when I came in. Had a $4 draft beer, which is the going rate and very reasonable.
