Informative, pleasant, delightful experience. The staff is very welcoming, and the entry price very, very affordable. Loved the Rube Goldberg exposition.

Perfect size museum that always has interesting exhibits. Current show is about contraptions and I recommend taking the free guided tour to learn what that means.

Every 1st Tuesday of the month the museum is free. On free day, there is a movement class for seniors. I teach chair yoga and I took my group of seniors there in May. Wow, such a great group of people. Dancing, laughing, sharing good vibes all to live music! From my understanding, the band changes every month. I'll need to check out the art next time, it's been a while since I roamed the galleries.

Great bathrooms in this place. Clean, roomy, quiet. The sink areas are always in good shape: no dirty faucets that don't work, there's a mirror that hasn't smashed, the paper towels are always stocked. They allow the transgender group to decide which bathroom to use by letting them choose which sex they identify with the most. And they can even provide a private restroom to use upon request. Meaning everything listed above is the complete opposite of most public toilets in San Francisco- and you have to pay to use those! I don't know much else about this place except the staff at the reception counter are all pleasant. This place should be where the other businesses open to the public in SF ought to look when needing a model for treating customers with dignity.

It’s the best museum! Worth the visit for the architecture. They offer free general admission on first Tuesday of ever month. At the entry gate you have to stop for checking. They conduct tours, have conference hall. Brilliant architecture, great collection. Makes you think about the art and culture of Jewish people. On the second floor one section was closed due to some work in progress. They will probably start it in March!
