::Members seem rude but are very willing to help. Remember it's a different culture. I've been there several time. My worst experience was finding parking.

::Most of the staff are very efficient and polite. There is no security area to access the Consulate. Even though there are signs to keep cellphones off, I saw a lot of people using their phones. Interestingly, there is a baby changing station in the bathroom. So even men can change their children's diapers. I went to the Consulate to get my daughter's passport. The passport came through mail the next day after I applied to get it!

::Went with Family of 5 on a Monday to renew passports. Was so worried there was going to be a lot of people but not 2 minutes after getting there we were called and was serviced by Raquel who was so patient with us and helped us a lot. So grateful that everything went well like always, got new passports literally 2 days later. Great thing also is that there is ups office right around the corner to get money orders and envelopes.
