  I'm not sure if I'm the odd man out here with my experience but when I didn't hear anything for a couple months after taking my sofa and chair to Consign Design, I emailed for an update in early December. I was told the items just sold and I would have a check by 12/27/17. Well, after numerous emails and an exasperated phone call, I finally got the check on 3/7/18 - with no explanation or apology for the inexcusable delay. Take this for what it's worth as I seem to be the only one who's had this frustrating experience. What I can say with certainty is that I won't be recommending their business to anyone in the future.

  They have a wide variety of items and styles at a range of prices that would fit just about anyone's budget. John was fantastic off the bat: friendly, helpful and eager to make sure the store felt comfortable. Adam, although claiming to be a new hire, showed a real interest and passion for the art of furniture and seemed to have a great amount of knowledge on the subject as well (also very helpful). The couch I purchased was delivered quickly, clean and intact. Thanks John. (Not to forget the store is local.) .....Great shop! Cheers!

  We sent them 2 mid-century leather chairs in October which they sold weeks ago. We have called twice to inquire about a check for our portion of the selling price ($200 less, they claimed, than originally estimated). We have yet to receive a check as of December 9. Be careful.

  I've never been drawn to used furniture stores because what typically is in the windows isn't that inviting. Not the case with ConsignDesign. Their furniture is typically very appealing-looking from the outside looking in, and once you walk into the door, you feel like you're walking into a furniture store full of new, upscale furniture. Their furniture is that appealing. The abundance of natural light from being in the corner lot makes for a much more inviting shopping experience than the standard used furniture store that uses fluorescent lighting. Their is plenty of walking room. The first floor is nicely carpeted, and some of the furniture is so unique and beautiful, I thought about coming back everyday on my lunch hour, just to look around. Their items move quickly. I met the owner, John, who allowed me to purchase a micro-fiber couch in two payments, and he kindly threw in the pillows on the couch for free. John and Steve, the manager, are both very personable and present themselves like they care, making my first experience with them a very good one. None of their furniture has any rips, stains, or obvious wear and tear, that I could see. I know my couch was used for staging. Perhaps a lot of their furniture is former-staging furniture because it all looks newer than traditional "used" furniture typically looks. I consider that to be a solid bonus.
