I looked at a truck and called up the next day to make an offer. Sam told me he'd call me back shortly. He did so, and accepted my offer. Great. Then I made arrangements for a mechanic to look over the truck the next day. I arrived to pick up the truck to take it to the mechanic as arranged, called Sam when there was no one at the office, and was told (accurately) that he had left a voice mail for me the previous evening to say that he had (re-) sold the truck. Hmmm. A verbal agreement is an agreement, but I wasn't going to fight with him about it. Either he had a buyer in the background who offered something more, or he was afraid of what the mechanic would find.

I got a great car for what we paid. There is no place to really test drive the car near the dealership. The Laws in Massachusetts are very different from Maine so the car needed to have some work done before it was inspectable. It was sold "as is" which was not clearly defined at the sale. I also wasn't informed until I drove the 3.5 hours to the dealer that I needed to bring my own temp plates. Other than that after the work that needed to be done to the vehicle was done it was STILL a good deal for the car. Sam the owner and all the employees were very pleasant to work with. I guess when buying out of state you should do your research.

The employees here are very nasty. Every day they park cars on the sidewalks, making people walk in the streets around their business. They treat the sidewalk as private parking lot. When I asked them to move the cars, they just mocked me and refused.
