I was scared to death to keep this appt because of the reviews. My grandaughter and I gave it a shot. We were pleasantly surprised. Called into office after only 10 min. Office staff was friendly. Dr mclain came in and took her time finding out what was bothering my granddaughter. She made us feel relaxed and comfortable. This is the dr my grandaughter wants for the future.

Since my insurance changed recently, I couldn't see my old doctor anymore, whom I had seen for years. Which is how how I ended up here for the first time. And the doctor here, Dr Than A. Aw, is honestly the worst doctor I have ever seen. He is presumptuous, rude, condescending, and he very obviously doesn't even try to understand his patients. I was diagnosed with ADD and Aspergers 16 years ago. This doctor seems to think ADD indicates a lack of discipline. One of the VERY FIRST things he asked me, before even trying to get to know me or why I take a medication for my neurological disorder was, "Have you been to see any movies," and me, knowing he was baiting me for a condescending point, slowly answered, "Yes, I have seen movies before," and he responds, "Then you can focus." I was a kind've shocked, because I've never encountered a doctor with such little understanding for how ADD works. He didn't listen to a single thing I said, he interrupted me in the middle of my answers to his condescending questions, and simply insisted "This is something for you to work on." How in hell's fire am I supposed to "work" on not having ADD? I was diagnosed 16 years ago, I didn't start receiving treatment until 7 years ago, because I tried battling it for 9 years without medication, and it wasn't working well for me. Believe me, if simply "working on it" actually worked, then I wouldn't be here. I'm currently finishing up my B.A in English right now, I was accepted to begin studying law next semester. I speak a second language, and I play an instrument. I'm married, and we have a baby together. I am educated, and I have a lot of responsibility that I take care of. My ADD is a neurological disorder, not a lack of discipline. So telling me that not having ADD is simply a matter of something I need to "work on" is absolutely moronic, because if I could just will myself into not having ADD, I would have done it 16 years ago. But that's not how ADD works, and I'm stunned there are licensed medical professionals currently practicing that somehow believe this. Of course, he probably wouldn't have made those strong and condescending implications if he had actually taken the time to get to know the fact that I am educated, and I've been battling my disorder for 16 years, but he walked into the room with the immediate assumption that I was an addict seeking any doctor who would write me a script. As, also among some of his first questions, he asked who my old doctor was, and then presumed that I was here because my old doctor wouldn't write my prescriptions anymore. Immediately upon entering the room, before even talking to me, he had his own idea of who I was, which was completely false. This doctor is horrible, and unprofessional, starting fights with patients through condescending and useless advice about a neurological disorder he obviously doesn't understand, or care enough to try understanding. Then there's the condition of the office itself, which is filthy, noisy, and badly lit. And the waiting room time is completely unreasonable. My appointment was at 2:15pm, and I didn't get out until 5:10. I've had plenty of long waits in hospitals and doctor's offices before, but three hours for a simple prescription refill is ridiculous. If you have any other options, stay far away from this office. If this is your only option, I'm truly sorry.
