Terrible company. They give you application ID numbers that don't even work when you go to use them. It is impossible to get a live representative, but when you do, they want to charge you money to figure out the problem that they made for you as an applicant. Put these guys out of business. It makes a stressful process even more stressful by dealing with this company. Why do they have to be the only authorized company to issue visas??? (rhetorical question: the answer is corruption)

Just another money minded Indian agency - The worst thing about them is that they charge you $2.59 a minute if you need to talk to the customer care for more than 5 minutes per 7 days. This is the first time I have ever come across such charges (which is like making an international call). And this is irrespective of the reason you are calling for - whether it is any technical fault from their end they don't care. And they will try to extend your call duration as much as possible which is very lame. The first time I called, the customer care guy started summarizing his answers to my queries again & again. The second time, the person put my call on hold for 2 minutes just for submitting a technical request for enabling the "edit" button. I had to hang the call and later was able to put the same request within 10 seconds. These are just ways to extend the call duration to charge the customers. I wouldn't be surprised if you get a fraud alert on your credit card coz they ask your card details at the beginning of the call.

CKGS is scam at best. The endless loop of mismanaged documents and despite repeated phones calls (which are paid by us), still no resolution. I am sure someone in consulate is getting a fat packet of money delivery per month to get these guys employed. Corruption is the only reason these guys are still on contract with embassy. If there is anybody who has any sense of customer service and ability to manage an application, they would kick these guys out. They deserve to go out of business, and quick.

They want to be detailed oriented but fail at being organized. The website says you need to take an appointment for passport renewal, however they were accepting walk ins. You have to take a token even if you have an appointment, although there was no discipline maintained on waiting for your turn to come. My 30 min appointment landed up taking 1.5 hrs because of the above reasons, there were a few who waited a lot longer than I did. The person reviewing my application was detailed oriented, took his job very seriously. As I was getting impatient, he mentioned to me that its an important document and he's needs to time to make sure everything is correct even if it takes 5 extra mins which I much appretiate (Hence an extra star). They have lots of amenities such as computer, printer and photo booth, most of them were not working. The location is convenient and helpful to run out and quickly get what you need.

This review is for the 10 year Indian visa with multiple entries. CKGS customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Get there early - when they open. Even though you schedule an interview time, it’s essentially first come-first served so get there as early as possible. Grab a number from the left and have a seat until your number is called. They will make sure you have all your documents - read the checklist twice and bring it with you. But once you have submitted your application they have a notification system that tells you at every point where your passport is. I thought that was a plus. I had to take the whole day off to get this done but I’m glad I don’t have to deal with them again for at least another 10 years.
