Great summertime place to visit. Plan and go on the right weekends. There is almost always a fun event going on. Street performers, bands and a great fresh vegetable market. Many eateries and other places to visit in the area.

This was a delight. There were all kinds of beautiful flowers and colors. If you're looking for intercontinental spices, there's multiple stands here that sell those. There's decent food options too. You will find arts, craft, and antiques in various stands. A place worth visiting on a Kansas City trip.

Little bit of everything in a quaint square close to downtown. Great for many choices, food and drink as well as they are all in walking distance of each other and a lot of apartments. Great coffee and juice shops! The Steamboat Arabia Museum is very cool. Must see area.

The City Market continues to add businesses, restaurants and residences. It's more vibrant than ever before. Weekends it seems the whole city is walking around down there. Great food options. Find fresh produce and more here. Streetcar circles through the neighborhood and connects you to the rest of downtown.

The city market features local vendors, families, and individuals who sell fresh fruit, vegetables, spices, nuts, legumes etc. The great attraction is the reduced prices. I purchased a five pound bag of fresh broccoli for only $3.00. When you shop at the City Market you are buying local. It is great being able to contribute to the success of a local business. The vendors are friendly, helpful, and will often negotiate prices. The only drawback to the Market is that you are exposed to the elements (wind, rain & temperature extremes). Also, as the market is held outside restroom facilities are not easily identified.
