  It has taken me a 6 days to calm down enough to write this review.....I give the salon a 2 star simply because the Manager was very professional and deserves 5 stars and first time I took my Yorkie who has been being groomed for 9 years there I was Amazingly and overly satisfied with the results and gave 5 stars but this last experience was a nightmare negates any good review...I took him back a month later for a freshen up...was very specific that I want him to remain same teddy bear cut ...mainly just interested in bathing coat condition nails and just beaten up...I specifically asjed fir the same groomer since she did an awesome job and everything was perfect....well🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄had a 10 am appointment and was about 10_15 minutes early...gave the front desk guy the specific instructions which I am positive he passed along to the groomer...also from my experience they usually keep doggie cards from each grooming to remember how you like your dog cut.....I dont know if this woman was on drugs or what but she cut all of my Yorkies hair off and skinned him like a chihuahua!!!!! She also cut him uneven and he was shaking and trembling TRAUMATIZED!!!!!When I asked her with happened she said oh "well you came in a little early" as if that justified Butchering my DOG!!!! The manager was extremely disappointed and sympathetic...he was highly professional and for that I was greatful... be offered a future free groom with his best groomer to try to compensate for her botch job....She has rainbow hair but I was so heated I cant remember her name....the worse part is when the manager and I went to show her my dog and talk about him being hacked she was in midst of grooming another dog and rather than stop ...she keepcutting him WHILE LOOKING AT ME TALKING!!!! Like her eyes should be focused on the dog while cutting!!!! I actually said I'm uncomfortable with you cutting that dog distracted by looking at me. I have attached a picture of my dog the day before taking him in to get groomed and then right after he was groomed.

  My dog, Toby, and I went to City Dog in the East Village area of Downtown San Diego to buy a fresh food, My Perfect Pet. Upon calling ahead, I was helped by a very knowledgeable, upbeat and bright-voiced girl who told me to come on over they had many choices for him. City Dog is located in a vibrant part of the city near the ballpark. This explained my competition for parking spaces on this day. However, I only circled the place three times looking for a close spot finding one. A general parking note: early in the day would be better for parking. At 6:00 all parking reverts to free, and City Dog has hours past that on most days. Additionally, they maintain a couple short-term parking spots directly in front of their store for quick trips.This little shop keeps a nice little inventory of treats, doggie clothing and dog care supplies in addition to their dog wash. When I entered the store, I found it to be immaculately kept. It smelled great, and the floor was just in the process of being mopped. I got the impression that this mopping happens several times each day by the way the staff presented themselves and was so attentive to each detail during my visit. They were very friendly, attentive and helpful to both me and to Toby (my dog). When I mentioned the friend who referred me, they knew her and HER DOG! Not only was I remembered from the morning when I called for information, salesgirl had called the owner and gathered follow-up information. I will definitely return to repurchase Toby's food and may try get there before. We are always looking for a nice place for a wash!

  City dog has the best brands of foods! On top of that they always have new and amazing, free samples. It's always clean and organized. The employees who work there are so nice and knowledgeable. They have almost everything there and if there is something you want that isn't there, the staff will order it for you! I thought that was really sweet of them to do that. Their groomer also took very good care of my puppy, no scratches on her or cuts. And the owner, Gary is just a really sweet guy! I totally recommend City Dog for everyone.

  Place is great to wash the pups downtown. I only use self wash but the owner is sweet and most of the patrons are respectful
