$7 to charge a check from an employer. I didn’t ask my employer to issue a citizens check. And I get charged $7 for a $23 check 😆 Talk about rip-off sheesh. No wonder no one used yall anymore and it’s just employers. Not EMPLOYEES

Citizen's Bank in Central Square forced a longstanding bookstore (Rodney's) to close because they decided they wanted that location instead. Not cool. As gentrification fires through the Boston area how many more quirky places will we lose to make room for more banks?

Great help! Moved here yesterday and the service and kindness has been great. They helped opening accounts and assist money transfer from Europe in order for me to pay my rent. Further assistance is given today, to make me feel like home. Great place for new movers!

This was absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received, I wish there was zero star rating. I normally don't write reviews but I had to. I called this citizens bank in central square to ask simple general questions to see if we needed anything else to change signers on an account as we didn't want to come back due to missing documents, as everyone is busy and won't be able to come back. The Assistant manager there Blaise Dacosta, asked me many questions and the business name. Then went ahead to tell me who the signers were and who the card holders were which clearly is a breach of customer confidentiality and privacy as I wasn't a signer on the account. After that he literally told me why I'm I calling that location while the account was opened somewhere else that "that's not how we do things" I said it shouldn't matter where the account was opened. And he insisted it does because they don't deal with things that way. I was appalled and said it shouldn't matter because it's the same company. He started arguing with me going back and forth about it the said bye and hanged up. Infact I called this location because its across the street from my job and I just needed general information only. So I called right back to talk to the manager little did I know that the behavior comes from the top. The manager Robert Hawley did not let me talk at all and talked over me. Mind you, he gave me the wrong last name, Logan, who is said to be another employee in that branch SMH!. He had no remorse, sided with his employee, and couldn't care less or to listen. He did mention that we can change signers anywhere we want however there was absolutely no apology whatsoever in fact rushed me off the phone and hanged up. I was shocked to say the least!!. I realized once they receive your business that's it they can careless about retaining existing customers and keeping your information secure. We will compare other bankswill be switching. No one deserves such horrible customer service from a bank while there is plenty of banks steps away from them, 7 to be exact. Beware they only care about new customers don't bother giving citizens Bank your business.

Came in asking for a notary. One was available. Their first question was if I'm a customer, when I told them they I'm not their response was I need to make an appointment. I came in on Monday they wanted me to schedule on for Wednesday. I went around the corner to Leader Bank (corner of Mass Ave and Prospect). Not only did the boost was available, but they served me even though I wasn't their customer and best of all it was free. So if you need a notary don't bother with citizens bank go to Leader Bank, add you will get a much friendlier and better service there.
