  I won't rate this branch with zero stars because i do not have the option. The columbia heights branch use to have top service when they transferred from columbia rd years back. In the last six years they have transitioned to straight slop. From their customer service being a joke to never having a manager on duty with authority to over ride needed transactions. One time i was traveling in the jungles of Ecuador and had to drive two hours to to get a cell phone signal. I called and spoke to a guy with a thick African accent who said he was an assistant manager with a tone as if i was bothering him. I explained someone hacked my account and needed help. He put me on hold for over 10 minutes, i hung up and called back with a calling card. When i got him back on the phone he spoke to me with an attitude crying about how extremely busy they were and could not speak to me - he cut me off while i was speaking and hung up on me. The reason i didn't cancel my account when i got back is because i have many transactions that have to be calculated for book keeping purposes and closing the account would of made it difficult to retrieve. Recently i deposited a check made out to myself and my mortgage company. They did not cash the check and instead of giving me back the original check they kept it. My insurance company took over a month to issue another check. They use to make the checks i deposited into my account available right away, today they put an 8 day hold on a certified check i deposited from my own account from another local bank; of coarse no manager or even an assistant manager was in to help. Its clear they don't give a ....

  Terrible customer service they hold 1 customer almost 45 sec just for withdrawal or deposit

  When I entered the office, Saturday morning, the line was very long. I thought I was going to be there waiting forever. Not at all. In 6-8 minutes the 8 people line was gone. They offered me an excellent, fast service. Great staff.
