  Sierra is absolutely great!!! I just had a hair coloring done with her and she did a fantastic job!! I am going back at the end of the month!!! She knows exactly what’s she’s doing!!! If you need anything done to your curly hair she has appointments available!!! 10/10 stylist definitely recommend seeing Sierra before her schedule gets booked!

  DISCLAIMER:: this review is not for Christopher but rather his new stylist, Sierra. I work with a girl who went to see Christopher and just absolutely raaaved about him! Spoke of him like he was the creator of curly hair, himself. So, upon her prompting, I decided to check it out. There was Christopher ($175) and Sierra ($85). I decided to go with Sierra because I've never gotten more than a 20 dollar cut before, and I figured she was trained by Christopher, so she had to be a little protege. I got to the salon, she asked me what I was looking for, and I told her - very directly. I wanted a trim ... take the dead ends off, keep the length, and just give me tips on how to style, a what products to use, and how to keep my hair healthy. They do 2 cuts: a dry cut, wash it, and another cut. At least, that's what she said. She explained the process to me, I reminded her to leave the length as much as possible, and she said "i'm very conservative on the dry cut. Dont worry." Chyea right. My hair was below my nipple line. I even stopped her to tell her I was concerned she was taking off too much. Nope. She said "I'm taking an inch from your total length and cutting in short layers." My hair is very fine. I have a lot of it, but it's just very finely textured. Her "short layers" left my ends totally see-through and stringy. It looks terribly unhealthy. To top it off, my hair hits just below my shoulders now. It was below my nipple line!!! She took every bit of 5 inches, and that was the ONE thing I specifically told her not to do. Also, real icing on the cake was when I got home and looked in the mirror. There were several pieces that hung down 3-4 inches below the rest of my hair. I drove 2 hours and paid a total of 123 dollars. No chance in hell I'll be going back unless it's to see Christopher. I think I'll just stick with my 20 dollar cuts in small town WV.

  Christopher offers the whole experience, or any part of that experience that you want! Cut, color, products, scalp health.... I first met Christopher 2.5 years ago and have followed him through his professional evolution from a stylist to a salon owner to an international Rene Furterer representative. He is kind and thoughtful with his clients throughout your visit, and I always feel well taken care of in his hands- from drinks, snacks, and magazines, to actively listening to your requests for your style. I rely on Christopher to shape my curls with his curly cuts, then I have fun on my own experimenting with various curly products and have found a regimen that works for me. However, if you want the whole 9 yards, he has every product under the sun and will explain each one, how it works, and how to best use them to enhance your unique you. Can't wait for his salon to expand (again!) this summer. I'm even going to try to keep using him as my stylist when I move out of town for a year!   Christopher is the perfect blend of being super talented and super nice and caring about what you want. He has a passion for understanding what is best for your hair and has patiently given me tips for styling that have made a huge difference. He really is the best.

  I would give him 10 stars if I could. Chris cut my 14 year old daughters very curly hair and the visit exceeded anything I had expected. First of all, Chris is kind and engaging. No pressure, easy even for shy, self conscious 14 year old to work with. She was genuinely happy when we left (which is saying something for a 14 year old.) He knows more about hair than anyone I have ever seen. I have seen many hairdressers in my life and Chris is in an order of magnitude above them all. The only problem is that he appears to be so popular that one has to book significantly in advance.
