  On Saturday May 5 at approximately 4:30 pm my sister and I visited the Chopt in Union Station. We had a horrible experience with a young lady- who actually looked like a young boy who was behind the counter. She was extremely hostile immediately upon our entering the store. So hostile and nasty in attitude that we opted to go elsewhere to eat. Chopt by Metro Center is one of my favorite places for salads. However, I will NEVER go to the Union Station Chopt again due to the horrible treatment we received at the hands of this employee. Please screen your employees a little better before hiring them.

  Forced to close last week due to a DC Department of Health inspection that found among other violations "live cockroaches on the service line." Don't believe the cover story that the closure was due to construction or only a lack of hot water (although the report also found no hot water for handwashing and a lack handwashing overall).

  I specifically asked for a soup that was not spicy as I had an upset stomach and could not eat anything that could make it worse. The staff told me that they had a spicy Mexican and a non spicy lentil soup so I chose the lentil. When I tried it it was so spicy that it was impossible for me to eat so I returned it. The staff were rude and condescending and even the manager called me a liar by saying that he ate the soup and he didn't find it spicy. The original member of staff made a sarcastic remark when I told them that they had deprived me of a meal and the customer service skills of both members of staff were appalling. I appreciate that the number of customers who frequent this establishment will not decrease by this review but if I ran this company I would invest in some customer services skills training to ensure that it does not happen again.

  never been here before(said I was a virgin,which produced a smile) and told the "chopper" so, he asked me if I wanted his recommended choice for my Texas po'boy and he did it perfect,I wish I would of got his name,to give credit where it's due.All the staff were friendly to me,even tho they were busy for dinner time
