The company was installing a vent on the neighboring property. They took no protection whatsoever. There were massive amounts of sparks raining down into my yard. Things were burning. I came outside and the woman in charge started to mock me and stuck her shirt out for me to read her boss's phone number. I had to call 311, her boss, the fire department and had a neighbor keep a close watch. The damage to my yard is excessive and they were intentional about ruining it. They came back several days in a row, having promised to lay a fire proof blanket over my fence, yet they did not. Do not EVER use these people. They can cause massive damage and are dismissive and disrespectful.

I work for a Commercial Food Distributor that is very well known in Westchester County. We do millions upon millions worth of work every year throughout all of NY State. Most of our clients are well known restaurants, clubs, and corporations. I needed a simple quote for a basic hood, fan and exhaust system for a small business in my town who I am very good friends with personally. They were in dire need of this quote/hood and my company respectfully recommended Chief Fire in Mt. Vernon do an honest job and quote. I spoke with the owner of this company personally who came off as a genuine guy and was able to help out. I spoke to him on a Friday and he stated he would have a quote ready for me on the following Monday. Monday came along and i heard nothing. I gave the company the benefit of the doubt by thinking they may have been busy with work over the weekend and just didn't get around to contacting me on the Monday. So i waited till Tuesday to call. After speaking to customer service they stated the owner was not in and no one was able to reach him on his cellular device nor was able to give it out because it was a "private number". No one else in the company also handles the quotes nor has access to them. (Basically you can only get a quote from one person apparently so not sure what kind of business is that). So i received his work email from them and wrote him asking to please follow up with me. It is the end of Wednesday now and no email back. I called again. Once again, was not in the office. Now it is Thursday mid day and i called again. Finally was able to reach the owner after waiting a dreadful amount of time on the phone just to hear that he did not get around to doing the quote. He did not want to quote me the hood and system because he was afraid of me "shopping around" prices when i stressed to him he was recommended to me and i needed this quote badly. The owner was very rude with handling me as a client for the first time and was very lazy about this whole thing. Not to mention he did not have the decency to follow up with me to say "Hey im a bit behind can you wait this amount for the quote OR to say hey we do not want to quote you." Nope, instead wasted mine, my companies time and my customers. The main synopsis of this review is this Chief Fire company is insubordinate and lazy. I would not recommend any company that has a good reputation to use or go to this organization for anything. Very immature business. If i could give them half of a star i would just to give them credit on pulling peoples leg.

Constantly have a van parked in a manner that blocks the entire sidewalk on Broad Street. If I could snap my fingers and move a neighborhood business to another town it'd be these guys.
