I'm a huge fan!! love their selection, it ranges from legit old school vintage to more recent. I love being able to mix and match eras in one shop. last time I left with floral pants and a dog chain, this is the store for me.

I love Chess and the Sphinx! The prices are always amazing, and the quality and variety is beyond. It's a gorgeously curated store, and I get compliments on every piece I've ever purchased from there. Also, check out their instagram! It's so fun!

Interesting items, but overwhelmingly overpriced. Bought a pair of sandals for $40 — on the very first day of use, they lasted less than 1 hour before the front strap broke off. Really disappointing to see people sell half-repaired sandals for such a price. The owner of the store was unapologetic, and quickly pointed to a sign of “No refunds. No exception”. Granted, for second hand items anything goes, and the no return policy is quite reasonable under regular circumstances. Nonetheless, so disappointing to see a store sell overpriced items with obvious disregard for quality. There are many better options for vintage and thrift shopping in the area. I will not be returning.

I stop in here when I'm looking for a special piece for a good price, especially the dresses. They always have a solidly curated 70s and 90s dress selection. Dresses that I'd totally throw down $80+ for in Williamsburg start here at cheaper prices. When I'm looking to buy boutique vintage I want something that's elegant but different from all the usual vintage finds. They change it up with interesting colors, cuts and textile design. My go to dress spot💖
