This was great! It is so much bigger than it appears from outside! There was so much to see and experience. It was also a great value for what they charge for entry. Be sure to donate a little extra. The gift shop was nice and had some art pieces for sale also. We didn't even get to see the whole museum because we underestimated the size and content of the place.

This is truly a place where history comes alive. I was amazed at how much history the museum itself has. From its humble beginnings till now it's full of awe. A Great place for meetings and events catered or not. Good for school outings must visit if you live in Detroit, Michigan or out of state.

Very educational experience for all ages and races. Highly satisfied with the detailed visual and audio. There was a lot of work put into every piece of information presented. Please plan at least a few hours for your visit. Take the time to engage in conversation with children and teens so they can understand how far we have come as a nation.

Informative and cultural that all people no matter what they look like shoe visit. Informative and helpful guides in a beautiful building. Definitely something you can take your whole family to and spend hours at a time learning about African American culture and history.
