This has been my go-to pharmacy for about five years now. The staff has always been amazingly friendly and helpful. Recently, with no warning, the pharmacy became a CVS. The staff is now brusque to the point of rudeness and seem bothered when I have questions. As someone on a maintenance medication, I sometimes have a lot of questions, so that stinks. But hey, why bother holding onto Portland institutions when we keep corperatizing everything and making it soulless?

Apparently sold out to CVS. Went in and shelves were basically 2/3 empty. Couldn't get what I needed. Used to be good. No more.

I just switched over to this pharm and tried to arrange my meds etc. They claim to hear you however it is just face value so something very important like pain control I arranged one week prior to running out I get a call 5 days later they don't have enough in stock. Well guess what everybody they only get enough narc to dispense per the federal government so be a good patient to be first nice huh so they will continue to lie and then call you just to disappoint you

Central Drugs always provided professionalism and were welcoming when entering into the store, the whole staff will be missed. It's a shame Central Drugs is no more, having turned over to a CVS pharmacy. A big thank you to Central Drugs for being there for me over the years and for providing excellent service.

Amazing experience. The pharmacists always work quickly, my prescriptions are always ready to pick up and when I've had to deal with transferring them, I just leave my information and they handle all the rest. I switched to them from Walgreen's for the convenience of their location and dread the thought of having to switch again, as they make everything so easy. The selection of products is also very good for a local pharmacy in the downtown area, and the prices are great. Plus, if you work in the immediate vicinity, they extend a small discount on regular purchases. Tl;dr, amazing staff, very convenient, a great deal and very helpful.
