  The day before Thanksgiving, I called Central Appliance Parts to schedule an appointment to have our oven looked at as it was not working correctly. The Monday after Thanksgiving, Jake, a repairman from the company, diagnosed the problem and said the repair would be just over $400. I paid the $80 service fee and told him I would consider my options. He told me that I could speak with Donna in the office later that day if I decided to move forward with the repair, which ultimately, I did. Donna told me it would take a day or two for the part to come in. I called her back three days later as I hadn't heard anything. She told me the part wasn't in yet. I asked why I hadn't been updated on the status and she said they don't call until the part comes in. I called again the following Monday (now 7 days after the original call). Donna told me the part still hadn't arrived but was expected that day or the next day. I did not hear from her, so I called again three days later, and spoke with Margaret. She told me that Donna wasn't in and she wasn't familiar with the situation but she would look into it. She called me back an hour later and said she had the part. The repair was then scheduled for the next day. From a customer's perspective, updates on the status of a part when it has been much longer than I was told it would be seems like a reasonable request. However, Donna repeatedly seemed annoyed that I called back every few days after being told it should only take a day or two for the part to arrive. In addition, when Jake showed up to make the repair, he reeked of cigarette smoke. For all of these reasons, I would not recommend doing business with this company. Margaret was the only person who seemed concerned about providing appropriate customer service. Ed

  i ordered a washer pump housing on June 7th ,They charged my account on June 9th...I called after 6 days,they said it was back ordered & would be delivered on 6 ,19 It hasnt come *& there is no way of contactting them..

  WORST COMPANY EVER! Jake is so RUDE and Incompetent. They just keep changing parts, and not finding the problem. If I could give ZERO Stars, I would....NEVER USE THEM!!! Update...Jake called me and is threatening legal action, refused to refund for the work he performed that DID NOT fix the issue. Also said he does not know how to diagnose the issue.....will be contacting the BBB and Viking to report them....WORST COMPANY.

  Amazing technicians. Best customer service. Best handy mans in town. Any problem with any dryer machine or appliances they are the guys to go with.

  i cannot say enough great things about this company. They have been incredibly responsive. Over the last 6 months, I've had problems with both my dishwasher and my freezer. They were out numerous times because of the freezer - numerous issues surfaced and Lyle just kept coming out to do the repair. In the end, my freezer needed a very expensive part and they stayed on top of the ordering. Jake came out last week and installed the part and I'm pleased to say that all my appliances are working (hope I don't jinx myself!!). Lyle and Jake (the owner) are just awesome. Donna, Jake's wife, is absolutely terrific. She is great about managing the schedule and setting up appointments in a realistic manner so as not to disappoint. I cannot even understand any bad review of this company. I would recommend Central Appliance to anybody that is in need of a repair. They are absolutely fantastic - responsive, courteous, efficient and effective. Thank you!!
