CBS Seafood used to be one of the better places in LA's Chinatown for dimsum, but no more. The staff is fairly friendly, but that does not make up for the at best mediocre offerings...mostly standard..that one can find at any other Chinese restaurant. The best item was the Chinese broccoli. Stay away from the BBQ pork plate. Traditionally it comes with peppers and pumpkin, here it devoid of that and tasted either salty or laden with MSG. Definitely not worth the price paid. And if you order fish, be sure to ask if it is fresh.

We would have never known about this spot if it hadn't been for my sister-in-law's boyfriend. He's been coming here for the last 15+ years and thankfully it seems to have remained consistent. Although they get a B rating, don't let it scare you because let's be real...1. We're in Chinatown (and not the new part next to Howlin Ray's) 2. Everyone knows that B rated hole-in-the-walls can be even better (I won't push my luck at C rated spots). Food wasn't bad, service was better than expected and the restaurant is large enough to accommodate all. It was the Chinatown 5k the day we went and thankfully we only had to wait 15 min even though there were people waiting everywhere. All in all, it was good day.

My favorite Chinese restaurant period. Price is more than reasonable and all their food very flavorful. Everybody should try their house special crab at least once in their life.

Was taking a late night train out of downtown LA. This place is very close to the train station. It is open till 10 p.m. went at about 8:30 on a weekday and it was not crowded. Didn't know what to expect but the food was great! They also have dim sum items you can order off the menu until 10 p.m.! I love dim-sum so this was a bonus!

Delicious food and great prices. I had deep fried tofu and my guy who is not vegan like me had all the dim sums you can imagine. He used to travel to Hong Kong in business and said that he thought for a while he was back there, because the dishes tasted just like he remembered. I highly recommend it. FYI the service was good!!!
