  Tom Carvel actually lived up the road from this ice cream place. He was a dedicated man of the community and his family's home shared with my yard. He gave to the community a grant to add on a children's library. This ice cream place was nice and served soft and hard ice cream, made cakes and cones with hard dipped shells in red and black. The famous flying saucers which are now called, sammies. The town's people made lines outside the place after baseball and soccer games, The teens hung out in the parking lot eating ice cream and it was a good place. After it was taken over by a new family and they stuck in a Subway, the smell of ice cream was taken over by baked breads and lost it's desire to just sell ice cream. I had to stop coming in--bad smell!!!
