  This place came highly recommended, and after I heard so many good things, I just had to bring my family to experience all the good we've heard. So my family and I drove from Baltimore (after traveling from Jacksonville, NC) to support this black-owned business. To my disappointment, after waiting quite a bit to get seated, we waited at least an hour to get drinks (and to even be acknowledged by our server). On top of all that waiting, we waited more than another hour for our food. Then when the food finally got to our table, my order was completely wrong, the kids (both kids) were missing a side item that never came, and my sister ordered a chocolate cake that never came either, even though she reminded our server at least 3 times about it. The atmosphere and ambience was really nice, and the food was AMAZING (let me tell you) lol.... but the service was HORRIBLE! The bus boy was truly the saving grace as we saw him more than we saw our server, and even refilled our drinks for us. Let's just say our initial server should be glad that his gratuity was added automatically. Good food can only take you so far, but amazing service will take you places your Mac & Cheese can't. Please do better my people!

  Where do I begin, so I’m from Philadelphia-you know...home of the 2018 Super Bowl Champions and I was taken here by a colleague years ago. I was so impressed by the food that I swore that if I was ever back in this city, I would definitely return. So, I finally had the opportunity to come back and visit with my family and again, they never failed to impress me with the food! Every single thing that we ordered, from the cornbread to the entree was astonishing!! My waiter... a friendly, professional dark-skinned gentleman from Trinidad was fabulous! We were a party of 5 and our order was completely accurate! Prices are extremely reasonable and food is impeccable. Check out our dinner choices!

  HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, AND HORRIBLE. I didn't even want to give this establishment one star. My husband and I got there at 8:45 p.m. They close at 10:00 p.m. and a lot of food selections were unavailable. I ordered 2 veggie platters and a small side. I get to the register and the young lady is texting on her phone like she's in the privacy of her home. She never greeted me. She just pointed to my food and put it in the bag. Next, she put her phone on speaker phone and was hollering to the person on the phone. Finally, she swiped my card and I signed the receipt. My husband noticed that she didn't give us our cornbread. He went back to get it and he said another employee had to give them to him because the rude cashier had left the register to obviously attend to her phone call.

  Visited this Restaurant on 3/3/17 and purchased one of their seafood platters. When I began to eat the crab cake I discovered a chewy object in my mouth. Once removed I then discovered a piece of plastic which was mixed in the crab cake. I immediately called the restaurant to speak with a manager, however, the manager on duty felt it not important enough to come to the phone to address this issue. Bottom line, this is very unprofessional and unacceptable. Carolina Kitchen has just lost a faithful customer for I will no longer patronize their business and will advise others to not do the same.

  We came in at 9:30pm and was told we could get a quick seat at the bar. We waited there for 15 minutes and were then told they're not accepting further orders. The management seemed confused and each had their own version. I wonder if this has something to do with our minority background. A pretty pathetic experience.
