Bikes were plentiful and clean. $2 one-way trip fare is a godsend. Registration process is a bit cumbersome, and the timeout is far too quick.

Best decision ever. We probably could have rented for cheaper, given that we took the bikes out for more than 30 minutes at a time. But the convenience of being able to drop it at any station was well worth it. Especially when you're on the go and don't have plans to return to the point of origin by 6pm, which is when most other bike rental companies closed in the Spring. There was some confusion with the day pass though. $7 allows unlimited 30 minute rides. Every time you go past 30 minutes, it incurs a fee that increases each half hour, up to about $100. In order to avoid this fee, you need to check in at a station every 30 minutes. You can always call an a friendly representative will answer your questions.

Great way to see the city for $7 per day. just make sure you check your bike back in within the 30 minutes of checking it out and there is not additional fee. This was one of the highly recommended things we did on our vacation to DC. We actually rode these bikes all the way to Alexandria and back. Nice scenic ride along the river.
