  In September 2017, my car was taken to Caliber Collision at 1804 S Lamar Blvd in Austin, TX, to correct improper repairs performed by Henna Chevrolet in Austin, TX. Henna Chevrolet no longer has a repair shop so all auto body repairs are contracted to Caliber Collision (a certified GM body shop). The issues I needed corrected were the quarter panel being improperly welded to vehicle, gaps in trunk lid, the back window needing to be resealed, improper welding in the trunk, and failure to repaint/coat the trunk and pinch weld to protect against corrosion and rust. The trunk had since formed significant rust on two separate occasions due to water leaks ( Calibers Preliminary Estimate total can be seen in photo) . A walk through inspection with Caliber Collision Management was performed in September and October 2017 detailing and highlighting repair work that needed to be done. It was actually written and annotated on the vehicle itself (all of this can be seen in the video link). On 10 Nov 2017, Calibers Manager called and stated my vehicle was almost ready for pick up. I needed to come verify the work. Upon arrival to my surprise the vehicle was fully intact and needed to be signed for. As I proceeded to open the trunk the Manager assured me the rust in the trunk had been removed and repainted and other repairs were also made. After removing the carpet liners in the trunk, rust was immediately visible indicating I was lied to (at this point I started videoing the incident). This was probable cause to demand the bumper be removed to inspect the underlying pinch well and the inside welding of the quarter panel. Again, to my surprise the inside quarter panel and pinch well had not been worked on at all. In the video the Manager clearly got amnesia and become unaware of the cars history or why the car was taken to Caliber in the first place. Caliber Collision was hopeful I would sign for the car without verifying the work allowing them to be paid in full from Henna Chevrolet for repairs that weren’t performed. This is indeed a violation of Texas Deceptive Trade Practice Act defined as follow; to protect consumers against false, misleading, and deceptive business practices, unconscionable actions, and breaches of warranty and to provide efficient and economical procedures to secure such protection. To supposedly make right of the situation in March 2018, Caliber Collision offered me a settlement release for $3,500 combined with an offer from Henna Chevrolet to purchase my car. It sounded good until I read Calibers settlement contract which bans me from ever using Caliber Collision services in the future and bans me from entering any Caliber Collision center nationwide, this means I would also be banned from any Chevrolet dealer that contracts its repair work to Caliber (the full details of the contract settlement are enclosed in the photos). The unraveling of Calibers Collisions deliberate participation in deceptive business practices is very alarming and a sense of awareness to past, present, and future customers who may have or will fall victim to these same practices. If you search the web for Caliber Collision law suites you’ll see this isn’t an isolated incident, it’s a crooked virus that plagues the company **** Also, please check out my review for Henna Chevrolet****

  Easy to find, easy they in and out of. Friendly, helpful staff. Got checked in, the damage to my car assessed, dropped it off, got a rental car all in about 30 minutes.

  I was skeptical when my advisor gave me nothing but attitude when I arrived. I let them fix my car anyways because I didn’t really have the time to go anywhere else. Was really impressed with their work. Also my advisor was in a better mood when I picked up. So instead of me thinking she was biased towards me about somethin. I chalked it up to her having a bad day. But seriously take absolutely everything out of your car. My ozium air freshener of all things went missing. But my 100 dollar night vision glasses did not

  I loved the service here. I made an appointment the day I came in and was helped rather quickly. I had two small children with me and they were very kind to them even though the kids were a little rambunctious. There is an enterprise rent a car in the same building so it made getting a rental extremely easy. The man who took a look at my car was very respectful and respectable. I felt they were very honest with me as well.

  This is a great place to get your car fixed. Great detail to your car. Plus the staff here are nice and answer any questions or concerns you may have. I've been here three times and will continue going here for all my car repairs. Adding another note here. Special thanks to Rick Miller for a lot. I can't say enough about this guy and Caliber Collision and the excellent work they do. I take all my vehicles here and have been for years. They have the best and most friendliest staff. I would recommend this place to family and friends.
