Super cool spot. Really enjoyed the old building and especially enjoyed the story machine. The story machine prints you out a 1, 3, or 5 minute short story to read. Had so much fun hanging out and reading stories!

This is in an historic building so it's worth checking out. It's one of those funny triangle shaped corner buildings there are so many of in SF. If you can sit by a window it's pretty cozy and has a nostalgic feel. It was pouring rain the day I went so the mood was right. The food was OK but the espresso drink was pretty good. It's more of a coffee/wine place. Service was good.

OK, here’s the deal. Sorry to have to give such a low rating to this restaurant however I was really looking forward to the short ribs, but it turned out that they were just grilled. Short ribs should be slow cooked over a long period of time until so tender that the meat has fallen off the bone this also helps make a delicious sauce. I have no idea why a chef would present short ribs as a grilled meat I was very disappointed it was so tough it was almost impossible to chew. Lasagna was good it was a special . The bread and the all of oil was a nice freebie with lunch. The so-called glass of wine was I don’t know how many ounces but it was such a small portion I was also very disappointed. Overall after a $67 price tag on lunch I was very disappointed with my decision to try Francis Ford Coppola‘s restaurant

I worked at Zoetrope back before the Cafe was even a twinkle in Francis Coppola's eye. Now it is a great spot for drinks, wine (of course), coffee, and darn good food. One of my table mates had an eggplant dish that was fabulous. My salad was fresh and amazing. The pasta was cooked to perfection. Chocolatey yummy dessert to finish.

We went for a very long lunch and enjoyed a very cozy table in the back of the beautiful dark wood paneled restaurant. I had the best chicken cesaer salad and champagne. I appreciated that they provided great service and didn't make us feel rushed. I felt like I was in Europe - the ambiance was lovely.
