  Didn't have high hopes as this is in a college area, but the food was perfect. Great service. A little bit loud on a Saturday night for my "aging" ears, but so worth it overall. Good prices and great wine selection

  Dined at Cafe du Soleil for a birthday dinner and greatly enjoyed myself. The staff we very helpful and accommodating and I felt welcomed there. The food was tasteful and came quickly. I had the lentil soup, shredded beef with mashed potatoes and creme brulee.

  This is a nice, solid traditional French bistro, a go to place for is us. The service is polite and happy. The wait staff is professional and consistent.

  Cafe du Soleil is a long established Upper West Side Classic French style bistro on Manhattans upper West side on Broadway a few blocks south of the Columbia University neighborhood.   Had a great time here. Short subway ride up from midtown, not hard to get to. Take #1 north to 103 and its a half block up. Wine list was surprising. Got a great french wine for $32 a bottle. Great find for the city. Duck app was great, they saw I ran out of the little crunchy breads and brought some more. Very attentive staff. Dinner was the Beef bourguignon. It was so rich and tasty I wanted to lick the plate. Portions are a very good size and since I ate most of the app, didn't have room for desert. Overall it was a great find for the city. Small and cozy, great price and a neighborhood feel.
