Enjoyed Sunday brunch with good service. Menu more limited than I expected. Not as crowded as usual so quieter, which was nice. Guess everyone is out enjoying the sunshine!

For years this has been my favorite Memphis restaurant. I crave the seafood crepes, they are Devine. After moving away for 6 years and finally returning home recently, coming here for my beloved crepes was very high on my list. I was so happy to see they were still on the menu and waited eagerly to get my fix. So they were good but they have made some cost cutting changes that I found disappointing. The scallops are now tiny bay scallops, flavorless, might as well leave them out. The shrimp was plentiful and delicious and that sauce, thank God they didn’t change that. They used to give you 2 crepes, now you get only 1 strategically folded to appear to take up more room on the plate. The crepe was also thicker, not the delicate perfection I remembered. Service is still excellent and I will visit again, however I suggest you return to the former recipe. Bring back the sea scallops, and return the portion to 2 crepes and raise the price. I would gladly pay more for this. The new cost cutting version is disappointing.

Cafe 1912 is a offbeat, French-inspired restaurant situated in midtown Memphis. Generous portions, charming servers and an eclectic vibe. The dining area is broken into different sections, which keeps the noise level in check even when the restaurant is at capacity The highlights of my meal were the perfectly prepared frites and the spectacular braised short ribs in wine sauce. The cheese board was also impressive. It’s definitely worth checking out.

This might be my favorite restaurant in Memphis. Excellent fine dining quality food at very reasonable prices. Cozy yet tasteful atmosphere.
