We moved from IL to FL with Chris Coakley Relocation Systems. We tried to resolve this with the owner, Chris Coakley, and he just yelled at my wife non-stop about the issue. Horrible and unbelievable. Our issues with Chris Coakley Relocation Systems surround the following; Reasons: 1. They brought in a super truck to move multiple families the day of moving. Because it could not move down our street, they had to load up smaller trucks and shuttle to the super truck. This cost an extra $X,000, which we had to agree to or they would not move us. Was it our problem they brought in a super truck? It was never quoted. We were never told about this in advance. So we feel like we were stuck and taken. When we moved to into this house with Corrigan Movers, they were able to get two good size moving trucks down the street…no problem…no additional cost. 2. Items got broken or damaged in the move (a 60" TV and furniture). When we moved with Corrigan Movers a couple years ago, they replaced everything with no hassle and no problem, with all brand new items. Not with Coakley. For example, our $X,000 super TV worked fine before the move. After they moved all the boxes in and left and we set up the TV, there is a big horizontal line across the TV and the TV no longer turns on and off properly. It’s ruined. In the recent phone call with my wife, Chris said they would replace the TV with a 55" TV for $379. But since this is not even close to the TV we had and with all the yelling by Chris, the phone call was turning abusive so my wife ended the call. Initially, they would not replace the TV because the box was not damaged, and when pushed after five months, we received a very disappointing resolution by Chris Coakley. You certainly damage electronic items just by dropping them - without damaging the box. There were about a dozen items they rejected – mainly furniture. So with the damage to the TV and furniture, add another few more $X,000s we got taken for by these movers. This would have never happened with the other mover, Corrigan.
