  I first discovered Butterscotch Galleries several years ago when doing a search on Tibetan art. I am a collector of Asian antiques and antiquities so I have dealt with many auction houses. I bid on several items including a beautiful Thangka painting, which I won. Everything was incredible and the House could not have been more professional. The owner treats his auctions like a piece of beautiful artwork. There is balance, quality and excellence throughout every auction. This past year I felt I must downsize my collection and I didn't approach anyone else but Butterscotch to handle my things. It's very important to any potential consignor to understand that many auction houses are not always very straight about their operations. Butterscotch treats the consignor with the utmost respect and the items with kid gloves. They are above and beyond honest and handle every aspect of their business with integrity. I had the pleasure of having Brendan Ryan help me. Not once was there any patronizing behavior or any pushing when I was not sure of letting a piece go. It was remarkable to me the depth of his knowledge. And, he was kind! The owner Paul and everyone else associated with the gallery was wonderful too. I was very happy with the results of all my endeavors with Butterscotch and highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or to sell. My experiences were always A+. (And, I love the logo for i love cats!)

  I have worked with the Butterscotch Auction Gallery for roughly over sixteen years. I find their auction items to be well chosen and reviewed according to the current market for buyers. Recently as a seller, my experience was nothing but positive - ample time, expertise and honesty was taken with my items as well as communication leading up to the sale and post auction...I plan on working with the Butterscotch Auction Gallery in the near and far future.

  Butterscotch has been very easy to work with. They arrived for an appraisal when scheduled and came back at a moments notice when I had additional items for them. They are very honest. I trust them implicitly with my home. The numbered listing they sent me allowed me to follow the auction on line. My many auction items sold for much more than I imagined. Butterscotch is definitely the way to go. They are extremely knowledgeable in many areas and recognized the value in many items that I did not.
